tag-teaming Ryan's comments......
It's a strong but smooth ball. I had mine 4x3 with a weight hole just below and in from my pap. This ball gets into a roll well, nice midlane read and a strong but VERY predictable move (continuous) thru the pins.
It's basically a strong control ball.
It can handle medium and medium heavy, especially if it's fresh. Mine didn't seam to like carry down much, and if I encountered it, I 'could' square up a bit,...but usually would change to something w/ some teeth.
For me, I always kept this ball at about 800 scuffed...when it sheened up, it had the 'potential' to skate too much. I would hit it with a wet grey scotch brite after each session (light pressure) when I cleaned it and it performed great like this.
I would consider it a great FIRST BALL out of your bag ball.....because of it's smoothness and lane reading (low rg).
Also, a great tournament ball! I could easily see having 2 of these, drilling one with more flare, and one with less........say,....6-800 scuffed at 4x3, then
another at 1200 smooth at say 2.5 x 5 (label) or go 2.5 x 2.5 stacked....
If you can get one for a good price NAB it...you will NOT be dissapointed...HOWEVER....if you need it to get more length, DO NOT polish is,...I'd just put a smoother finish on it....1200, 1500, 2000, etc....but don't use polish (my experience,...and quite a few others too)
Good luck!
