Question: For a tweener, good speed, good circumference coverage, with a PAP of 4 over 3/8 up, what would the following drill do? Pin under ring (making it about 3.5-4 inches from PAP) and the MB in the track?

Sounds similar to a super symmetrical layout... has the control of a symmetrical ball, but still maintains the hitting power of an asymmetrical ball.
Maybe?
I wouldn't put the MB any further than 7" from your PAP though...

MB in my track would be about 6 inches away, I'm just guessing.
The idea came from a teammate of mine. I have all my MB balls with the MB either in a strong position, or right under the thumb. His is in the track. And he gets a beautiful reaction through the pins, very continuous. Smooth.

Looks like we're playing tag. Look at diagram 33 if you haven't already done so. It may help you.

These layouts have a slow transition from skid - hook - roll, so they do maintain plenty of energy and should appear continuous through the pins... but that is if they are being thrown by the right person.
I'd consider it an appropriate layout for someone who has more revs than ball speed...

Thanks for the link. This is a different ball than the Girard layout I was PMing you about. That one is going to be put on a Reaction Roll (symmetrical ball) most likely, and then the surface polished up.
