Epic Battle
« on: January 23, 2008, 08:15:12 AM »
Just recently purchased an Epic Battle with a pro pin.  Was that a bad thing to do?  I wanted this ball versus the Cell, but it is discontinued.  Almost every heavy oil ball I have ever owned has been aggressively early hooking which is what I didn't want in heavy oil.  I was looking for the late snap. Tell me what you think, did I screw up again?

well the battle is early rolling, its not going to snap on the back, but it was made for oil...you dont want snap on heavy oil, it becomes more of an over/under issue trying to get snap on oil, you want early heavy roll imo...the battle should be great for heavy oil..but the snap will not be there for it in heavy oil..

I  recently picked up my Epic Battle used not long ago and it has proven to be a great ball.  My average has jumped almost 10 pins and just last Friday night I shot my highest game and series.  You won't be disappointed.

I picked one up a few months back, worked pretty good the first time out and then seemed to lose it's back end.  Brought the surface down with a green scotch pad, but then it seemed to lose hitting power.  Then I hit it with 1000 abralon pad and tried my trial version of Beans Secret Sauce on it.  It's now a dart.  Very little wrinkle on the back.  I'm toying around with the idea of using it for 10 pins, or maybe a control ball for drier conditions if I ever run into one.
