First night with Asylum
« on: January 10, 2014, 11:45:27 PM »
Have to say I'm extremely pleased. As anyone who has seen my posts I had strayed away from Storm/Roto the last year and had been throwing some of the small companies. I was very pleased with the Seismic equipment and a few others but I did notice my carry % seemed to drop. So I decided to migrate back. Disturbed then Lights Out and now asylum and hyper cell. To early to say anything in hyper cell need to find a lot if oil.

I've been a huge fan of the Disturbed since I got it, changed surface and ball has been money. But I have to say, the Asylum may be even better. I threw it at OB and moved 3/3 right of where I've been starting with Disturbed at 500/1000/2000/3000. The asylum just was a bit cleaner, got down lane 2-3 feet further and still  turned over and came at the pocket like a Mack truck. It has the same Disturbed heavy roll but what looks like will be even more usable and versatile. I shot 697 getting there late and no practice and never throwing the ball on fresh before. Only threw a few frames on burnt ths. The ball was amazing, never over reacted and just kept coming all night. I made a few bad shots or it was 750 easy. I used it all night with only a 3 board move left with my feet. Never started early or looked like it was burning up. It is a great release.

Since I went back to Storm/Roto 8 league nights ago between 2 leagues I'm averaging 226. I usually average 208-210 and was down to 202 on my Friday night league. Climbing back up again finally.

Roto Grip is quietly, IMO, the best ball company on the market. Hands down from top to bottom. Hell even the Scream and Shout are beasts on drier patterns.

Great point! A lefty in my International league just recently went RotoGrip and just the past two weeks he has posted back-to-back sets of 801, and 750, including a 300 game! Roto Rules!!
Some days you're the bug....some days you're the windshield...that's bowling!
