RS-P versus Shock and Awe
« on: October 28, 2005, 02:20:08 AM »
I was wondering if anyone had both of these balls, I am looking for a pearl particle with some movement behind it to replace my depth charge which finally I am sad to sad has bit the dust...but I want something stronger than my Shock and Awe with a pearl particle coverstock...thanks

You want something stronger than a Shock and Awe??

It hooks a lot and it needs a bunch of oil uness you polish it. How much more ball do you need or do you just think you want such a ball??

You may need a strong, sanded Asymmetric cored ball then.

Well its just the one shot I shoot on is a flatter longer shot the Shock and Awe is drilled for length I need something just a tinge stronger, the pearl particle would do that my shock and Awe is box finish.  But I think out of my own arsenal I may have found an answer....I shot 759 last night with my 1200 finish pin over vertigo...but man I hate ten pins...thanks for the input everyone, I was just wondering...I'm gonna try and resurface my depth charge before I do anything.

I remain curious as to how your Shock and Aweis drilled for SUCH length, so as to reduce  its oil handling capacity withut havving changed its surface.
Many people are under the fasle impression that drilling the S&A like a symmetric core, 5" pin to PAP and pin above the bridge will give length. Of course, for Morich cores, that is utterly false.

How is your S&A drilled?

first of all let me say I come straight off the back of the ball I'm not a cranker by any means...but I have a naturally higher speed.  The pin is about an inch to an 1 1/4" above the ring finger, cg in the midline of my palm and the mass bias in the strong position.
