Should I Get a Pure Fuel???
« on: February 02, 2004, 10:22:34 PM »
Right now i am rebuilding my Ball Line up. Right now i have a Hit for Really Really Dry lanes, i would like a sonic x but have to much hand. Then a have a Silver Streak Pearl For Med-Dry Lanes. Then i just Drilled up a Apocalypse for Med conditions. Then i Have a Top Fuel For Med- Heavy lane conditions. I know the Apocalypse have the same weight block as the Pure Fuel, but a Pearl Solid Cover Stock. The Drilling on the Apocalypse is pin above the the ring Finger and a 1/2 inch weight hole. Is there a Big Different Between the Apocalypse and the pure fuel other then the cover stock.

RG Fan,

Too much hand on the Sonic, look at the Solid version,...smoother...

Difference in the PF and Apoc...not a TON, however, coverprep and drill will separate them by quite a bit....the Apoc has a much stronger cover than the Pure Fuel.

Roger recommended an 800 grit smooth, strong drill for a medium w/ carrydown on this ball......word is it's very versatile and would probably be a better ball to have in the bag than the Pure.  Not banging the Pure, but the new cover has a lot of people talking.......

You may have more of a chance of overlap between the Top and Apoc...
