Silver Streak Pearl
« on: December 03, 2005, 10:59:30 PM »
I was wondering what the best drilling for this ball would be on a broken down/light oil shot. I was thinking about pin above and between the fingers and cg in palm. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!

Fatboy,
I just recently sold my SSP with a similar drill as you are describing and the ball would fit the condition you are looking for but be aware that this ball would make a serious move on the backend even with a little carrydown. Here is a picture of the drilling so you can get an idea!

Good luck with it...it's a great ball!

I appreciate the help! I think that is the drilling I am going with. Did your ball go long an snap with that drilling?

Very good ball, but it's way too strong for what I'd call light oil.  If there isn't at least medium oil, you'll never get it far enough down lane unless you are a strong speed dominant player.  Pin above the bridge doesn't mean anything.  If you want a chance of this ball working, put the pin 5.5-6" from your PAP (higher than your fingers).  CG in your grip center is probably a good choice.  Adjust the surface if necessary.  Sand finer (1000-1500 grit), then polish.
