For about 1 1/2 months now I've had a Silver Streak Pearl and I have really HATED throwing the ball. Nights I'd throw the ball very well and miss the pocket flush 2 or 3 times in 3 games I'd shoot a mid-high 600 set opposed to a mid-high 700 set just due to poor and inconsistant carry. The ball feels great in my hand, but it's poor carry ratio on flush hits on many different conditions really had me puzzled as if I was doing something wrong with the ball or if the ball just wasn't meant for me. So I sanded the thing up 800 grit and put some ebonite sandblaster on it to smoothen out the grit.
WOW....now I have an early even arc with some lope through the midlane and still quite a bit of pop on the backend. Let me say this ball carries ALOT better now in the pocket and it seems as if I have a completely different ball in my hand period. It reacts now alot like my old Phenom Unleashed. I think I can now benefit from this ball in my arsenal when I was going to regulate it to spareball status. Now I might even consider adding another roto-grip ball in my 6 ball setup since I already have the Silver Streak Pearl and Blue Retro Roto. I'll see and I'll keep ya'll updated.
