Apocolypse - ur thoughts?

What does anyone that has one think of the Apocolypse?  What oil does it work best on?  How does it react to the lanes?  Thnx for all input.

Great ball for length....and a whip like backend reaction. For higher speed players they will need fresh backends with no carrydown for this ball to work. Slower speeds, SOME slower speeds may be able to use this ball as an oil ball.


For a strong reactive ball....it is very readable to the lanes. I am very impressed with the strength of the ball once it gets to the pocket.

VERY GOOD ball from RG. I would like to see this kind of ball in a particle. But for now....I can use this on almost any house shot!

Mine is drilled pin over ring cg kicked out. Ball has a real hard arch to the pocket. For me the ball handles med.light/ to med. Covers heavy if I play up the boards. I stand 37 throw overs midle arrow out to 7 and it comes back hard and blows away the pocket.

drill and cover prep will allow you to play lighter mediums to mediums w/ carrydown or medium-heavy.........the coverstock is the key here..=strong and versatile........

Very strong reactive ball, strongest ball in my bag as far backend not quite as long as the Silver Streak Pearl. Mine is drilled pin under bridge (6 inches from axis) cg under ring and mass bias in strong position. FOR ME (check profile) great ball for playing more direct and even better when playing really deep. Hitting power is superb. However this ball is really bad when the lanes are "over-walled" meaning a ocean in the middle causing the ball to go sixty feet and popcorn fart dry on the outside causing the ball go bonkers as soon as it touches the friction. Look for a reactive pearl or mellow particle pearl for these conditions.

I really can't add to EXCAL/T_NOR/JEFF comments .. they say it pretty well! I've been impressed with the ball since I first threw it! To me it's as good as (if not better then) the Golden Nugget! Best conditions have been previously described!

I have always been a fan of Storm but my Duece is taking a back seat. The Apocalypse has made me a fan of roto grip. Of course any ball that gives me double scouts on old Brunswick max pins is looking real good.
