Silver Streak SE Discontinued?
« on: June 10, 2006, 08:48:39 PM »
The SE is already in the discontinued section of the RG website. That was kind of fast considering it was out less than 6 months.

oh well we still have two 15lbs in the shop.

They announced from the beginning that there would only be a small number of SE's released.  1500 or 2000 if I remember.

These balls are still available through Roto Grip in all weights except 15lb.  It won't be in our catalog this year for that reason.  Great ball, but it was merely a specialty release for the roto heads who were asking for it.

Can I get some positive / negative feedback about specialty releases?  We plan on utilizing our Nov/Dec release for this type of product each year.

Let me know!

Thanks,

Lets all start polling right now for a return of the Global Assault or a Pearl Rush in a new color!

Bring back a rush with a better cover..and better color.

You don't have a dull/smooth ( non-polished) in the midprice line. and haven't had one since the Retro ressuretion.

That idea could probably be saved for the regular release schedule though.

Speciality release could be something like an Assault type ball.

That sounds like a new shampoo or something.

Can you imagine the Rush with the RSX or Epic cover (polished strong solid!)
OR....a pearl / solid combo??

I just picked up a SSSE and so did my friend.  Since its summer, I'm not bowling much but what I can see from some practise games is that I'm going to like it.  Might have to pick another up when Buddies puts them up on Closeouts.  Do any of you guys know when the RS-X, RS-P or RS-1 might be discontinued?  I heard that the Horizon line is to replace the RS line, so I'll probably at least pick up another RS-X when they go out, Awesome ball. Cheers.

I think a 2 piece ball would be a nice fit.......put an old Grenade core in a Saturn cover.

Or.....bring back the Retro Blue in all its glory. If that ball were to come back, would it be called the Retro-Retro Roto Blue?

Would i be crazy to ask for the Saturn cover on a Horizon core? AKA a new Retro resurection.
