Soul Question
« on: April 16, 2013, 10:06:30 PM »
Currently throwing a Nano Pearl as my strong ball, then dropping down to a Nomad solid.  The Nano Pearl will sometimes struggle a bit for me when the oil is a little heavier, especially the 1st game.  Would the Soul be a stronger ball than the NP if they were drilled the same (pin above ring), and be a decent step above?  How would they compare to each other?  TIA.

The Soul is a great ball that handles oil very well. I would say it will be a nice step up from the nano pearl and handle oil better. I also have a Nomad Solid and there is a big difference between the two, I have a ball in between those two. The Soul has been great for me, I have drilled 50x5x40(pin up) and it reads the mids great and has a strong finish. I have a few friends that have the Nano pearl and to be honest I am not impressed, I have a nano which is great when there is a ton of oil, but the pearl doesnt impress me, just my opinion.

I do like the Nano Pearl, and have shot some great scores with it.  I just need a ball that is a bit stronger with good backend to it.  I'm liking the way the Soul looks, and from everything I've read, it seems to work well for a lot of styles on different patterns.  I might have to think about trading my NIB Hell Raiser Revenge in for a Soul.

Have you tried taking the polish off the nano pearl?  Seems a wiser choice initially before buying a ball you may not even need.
