Title: Soul vs disturbed
Post by: vkowalski1970 on November 15, 2013, 07:21:10 AM
I know the shapes will be different and know about solid vs hybrid. My question is total strength? How different should I expect on a medium+ ths?

For me the overall hook is pretty close. The soul is longer and smoother off the break point while the disturbed is earlier and more angle off the dry.

Do the two overlap? Is it worth having both or would the Asylum be a better compliment to the Soul? ( I have 2 :))

Now having thrown them both.....I have the Soul 50x5x40 at 2000 and Disturbed 50x4x65 at 3000 and they compliment each other well...The disturbed is definitely earlier and the Soul much cleaner and sharper on the back the way I have them. I found Disturbed to be 3-5 boards weaker over all at this surface and drill. I went 500/1000/2000/3000 on Disturbed and 500/1000/2000 on Soul.. I think Im going to get the asylum too...I really like both ball alot....The motions are very different so having both is good, I would bet at ob surface the total coverage would be very close but motions would be even further away. Im hoping the Asylum is a weaker version of Soul as far as motion goes....
