First off, I've got a Saturn drilled 5X2, I've had it for about a month, tested it in practice, put it into league and pot game THS use, love it, shooting very good numbers with it. I like this ball so much I'm going to drill up another one. It is highly versatile, coverstock tweakable, an all around great ball!
My question: Anyone as of yet drilled this ball with both the pin and cg closer to the PAP? thinking 2X2 or 2X1. I know this ball is fairly new, and though many have drilled one, most of the drilling that I've seen seem to be more of the conventional drillings (4X4, 5X4, 4X5, etc). Just trying to think tank the layout with the BR community. Have been very pleased with past posting reply results. Thanks for the help.
Thinking of shinning up with delay polish, my first one, 5X2 for medium light and leaving a 2X2(or 2x1) abraloned (1000 or 2000) with no polish or light, light polish for medium oil. Exhibit A= will go moderately long and nice controled arc; and speculation on layout Exhibit B= early roll (short length) and more slight arc. Any suggestions, actual experience, or counter speculations, or even general Saturn lovefest comments; welcome. (please feel free to check out my profile for style details)(added: I have a Storm HR Hybrid, 2.5X3.5 polished, that I use for an over/under shot, didn't want to double up on this drilling, Hybrid can be dulled for earlier hook, similar ball, smaller weight block and not as aggressive coverstock as the Saturn = different reaction not as good as of a mid lane read as the Saturn)
