storm and roto..whats the difference?

Ok. First of all i really like storm equipment and you can tell by my name. I am kinda falling out of love with my big b stuff. What i am wondering is with all the success i see people having with roto grip are roto and storm different enough to justify throwing both brands? For example would haveing a virtual gravity and rogue cell make sense? Is there enough difference the 2 companies to have both? Please remember i'm pretty new and i wanna experiment a little over the summer. Thanks for any help.

I'm no expert, but from what I understand the Rogue will have more length than a VG out of the box.

The Rogue will be slightly longer than the VG due to the slightly higher RG and hybrid cover.  If you wanted to go with a ball from the Cell line to compliment your VG, I think the Cell Pearl would be a better choice.  It will give you a reaction that will be more different from the VG than the Rogue will.

There are advantages for Storm/RG to be different.  While some balls may hook the same TOTAL number of boards, overall the shapes of what you see in their current lineup are somewhat different.  It all matters based on your rev rate, speed, axis, etc..  I have many balls from both companies in my bag (and those that don't fit a need go away) so I'd say that it's worth it to have both in the bag.

As for your VG vs. Rogue question, I see more of a hockeystick shape out of the VG vs. Rogue.  We drilled a couple for some guys at the Gold Coast while in Las Vegas and the Rogue was smoother overall - falling in line with it's design intent.  It all depends what you want out of the ball.  If you want to PM me what you're looking for, I can help you.  If you do, don't forget to submit your profile info that is not listed on the site.

Don't care about any difference.   It has been a really great year and a half for both companies....

A job well done with their ball lineups...

Keep up the good work....

And the best part....

They are still proudly made in the USA...


However,  they are dropping the ball on their lineup of polish....

By selling their step 1,2,& 3 in quarts only, they are losing boo koo sales...

If they had a 5 oz bottle like Brunswick and Ebonite, they would sell boo koo bottles of their polish!!!!!   Boo koo>>> that's a lot!!!

People at Storm.... Many, many, real bowlers have their own spinners today...

Ok, now chop chop, lets get your polish in 5 oz. bottles...

And I don't mean moon shine...

I mean step 1, 2, and 3 etc etc etc....

Even Lane One has their own polish....

So everytime we sell a Storm or Roto ball,  we HAVE to sell the customer either a Brunswick or Ebonite or Lane One polish.... cause clean balls are healthy balls,  oops.

Now yes your polish is avavilable in quarts,  but the cost is too high for most bowlers to buy a quart.   Just like cigs,  many still by them by the pack...

So please,  lets get your polish in 5 oz. bottles.  

You can thank me later for the boo koo sales and PROFIT'S you will make...
