I am surprised that no one has any comment to this post!
This is one of the most encouraging things that I have heard. Instead of whining about bowling going down hill, or the political situation, Storm and Roto have made a positive commitment to the future of bowling.
Hats off to you all.

I can say first hand that this is a great deal and we cannot thank Storm and Rotogrip enough. Up to this year, our kids had to pay for any and all equipment out of their own pocket. This program has been a blessing and is showing that the hard work they do for our team is not going unnoticed.
It is refreshing to see a company reaching out to teams other than the biggest and best funded programs out there. Our team gets little to nothing from the University, and kids bowl here because they like our school, not so much because we are a powerhouse team. We field a solid team every year nonetheless, and we thank these companies for their support!

This is a very awesome program from Roto Grip/Storm/AZO and I hope other companies soon follow suit. I've said and always will say that the most intense/emotional/competitive bowling you can ever see is on the collegiate level. It's nice to see that someone is recognizing the love that these players have for the sport and are rewarding them with this great program. I took off a year of coaching collegiately to straighten out some things with the business but with companies starting to really get behind college programs it's going to be fun getting behind a new resurgence in collegiate bowling next year.

I am a freshman bowling at Morehead State, and I also cannot thank Storm enough for what they are doing for our team. I especially cant wait to punch up a Dimension and try it out, they look amazing on the lanes. I cant wait to bowl in our first tourny sporting the Storm logo on my chest...
Thanks Storm!

What does this mean for the teams?
Do they get free equipment or discounted
equipment? I also think it is a great
deal for the teams.

i am a college bound bowler but sadly my states college aren't very big on bowling and i was wondering what i would have to go about doing to possibly be interviewed for a position on a team?
im averaging about 190 in my league as of now and im a starter on my state all star team, i also participate in the travel league and do numerous tournaments a year
so how would i qualify to be even looked at to bowl on a collegiate team?
-
Go MVCC... i am pretty sure they are the first 2 year school to get sponsored. And i bowled for them last year when they made nationals as the under dogs from the east.

hey roger, just wondering because the kids i bowl with that are on monmouth college in NJ said that they are being sponsored from ROTO but they arent on this page, is that true or r they lying?

Im so glad people are brainwashed to think that TRACK sucks. And its even funnier when im carrying with my TRACK ball and they're going flat ten with their OTHER BRANDS ball.

RyMac, to answer your question, teams received an application through email that had the necessary requirements and how to apply. You basically had to give bios of all your team members and a background of your team, what your schedule was, and they chose based on that.

NJSTROKER - Monmouth was also selected, but I didn't have the contract in time for when I ran the press release. We have a few more teams that will be signing on board with us over the course of the next few weeks.
Some teams just needed more time to get everything approved.
Thanks,
