Attended the session at Diablo this afternoon. Lots of good Roto and Storm stuff to try. Since I have the Mutant Cell and a Nomad Solid on order, I was very interested in the layouts and how they rolled. They had one pair of lanes with the Shark pattern and the others had the Diablo house shot. Could not get the Mutant Cell off my hand properly, strange thumb pitch, but it seemed to roll well on the Shark with forward roll. The Nomad Solid fit my hand better and it was money on the house shot. The Storm staff that were there were very courteous and knowledgeable. Randy Peterson and Ric Hamlin were there to lend some star power to the proceedings and were entertaining as usual.

Thanks for the heads up. I may make the trek down to Milpitas tomorrow for this.
Do they give special deals on equipment purchases?
-
you may get 10 - 20 dollars off a new ball purchase depending on what you do with them.

Uroboros will be released into the atmosphere, ensuring...complete...global...saturation.

What kind of layouts did they have on their demo balls, especially on the Nomad Solid? I'm curious, since I'm just guessing that demo balls are probably/typically layed out to better show off the design characteristics of that particular ball.

Just my 2 cents.
At least the one's I threw, (Mutant, Nomads, Reign) were all pin up 1" above the bridge. For me they were about 4.5X4, the mutant (MB in thumb)was a beast, I brought my VG (500,1000,2000,4000 surface) and Rogue (same as Vg but highly polished) just to compare, and WOW what a diff.
On the shark, (Mutant) I was inside, 18-10, soo much midlane, easy read, length and strong back end. VG was small swing 12-8. If I had OOB on VG, would still have gone longer and been more angular. Rogue - not a fair comparison, too polished for me to get a good reaction. Nomad pearl, nice look off the corner, up 5 or 6.
On the house shot the mutant was soo strong I was way inside 25-10, not my first choice of line to play but it was still able to carry. Reign was a better option for the house shot, swing to the gutter and watch it come back. Still not a fired up, but I guess it would be close. My Polished Rogue was also pretty good on the THS, but everything looks good on a THS. Nomad pearl was about 1.5 boards with my feet weaker than the reign. Diff was back end reaction. Nomad was a earlier reaction than Reign and polished Rogue.
I will get a Mutant and Reign, I can see a place in my bag for them, nomads would be a option for people that want a more controlled reaction.
Hope that helps.

Any more demo days coming up? I only saw the post the day before and since I live in SF it was impossible for me to fit it into my schedule on that short of notice.

I looked on the calendar on Storm's website, and don't see anymore in the Bay Area coming up. It's too bad I didn't know about this earlier, or I would've definitely gone. I am really curious about the Natural.
