The Cell quick impression
« on: December 21, 2007, 04:20:37 PM »
Well i threw this baby tonight and must say it made my Terminator at 1k look stupid hookwise, i had no look with anything else with me but The Cell. This ball will turn through anything head oil upfront and backends that were honestly pure crap.

Drilled pin to pap 4 3/4 and mb at 5 inches one inch down and next to my thumb, no weight hole needed, the ball keeps hooking and hooking with no quit. Probably too much ball for most house shots trust me on that, the hole i am bowling at closes in 4 weeks to revamp the whole dump. I will be moving over to Sunset Station but at best game 1 will be all i will ever be able too throw it there.

So a Terminator at 1k drilled 4 1/2 pin to pap would hardly hook and a diablo drilled 4 3/4 pin to pap would just skate the entire lane with maybe 2-3 boards of hook to compare of how much stronger the Cell is.

Only maybe 24 frames with it but plenty too see the raw power of this new beast, it will hook through anything mostly too much for most houses, so you have been warned ahead by me.

Did not have either with me, only bowled league with the ball skipped going on thursday to try them all. I would say it is earlier and more than any of my 3 odyssey's, i do not have a battle right now i have one sitting nib for a rainy day.

I would like to know how it compares to the Odyssey. I love the Odyssey but BTM rated the Cell less over all especially in the back end,15 for the cell and 171/2 for the Odyssey.

The key is the Cell is designed to be more continuous and less flippy at the breakpoint.  Continuation is what you will see with this ball.  Shined up for most people this will work well on most house patterns.  I agree OOB it is probably too strong, but for the average bowler with medium speed and medium revolutions it will work just fine on most house patterns.  You just have to drill it accordingly.

Thanks,
