Tonight was the first night of a new league for me.  This house just had new HPL synthetics installed.  While I was getting ready for practice, I watched some bowlers to see what kind of reaction they were getting.  It was looking like they were playing kind of slick, so I immediately grabbed my Epic.  The bridge has been cracked for awhile now...nothing major.  I threw it 1 shot, and the bridge finally exploded on me.  Part of my pin even chipped out.  I was suprised since the bridge was fairly thick.  I was then stuck throwing my Black Widow all night, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise.  I had a great reaction with it.  If it wasn't for me blowing 3 ten pins, I would have had a decent 700.  I settled for 692 first night out.  Anyhow, the Epic is the ONLY ball I have ever had that never left my arsenal...it's that good.  The Widow hasn't either, but I haven't had it for well over a year either.  It will be in the shop getting fixed tomorrow.
