Official release date?

Has anybody had a chance to talk to anybody with inside information yet?

I went with a 5 x 3 x 4 layout on the other one, but didnt throw it yet.  I need a big arcing/smooth rolling heavy oil ball and i think this will be it from what i saw out of the first one.  This ball will be THE heavy oil ball of choice in the Storm/Roto Lineup in my opinion...Storm has pushed ball reaction to the next level with this one...cant wait to change surfaces and play around with these things

So does that mean a Video is coming soon?

I would love to see the Mutant compared against the Rogue Cell and I would also love to see the Mutant compared against the Cell Pearl!

It's probably more fair to compare it to the original Cell, but I'd love to see a video that had all 4 in it. Shooting the same line and not just bowling a strike 26 times.

I am going to have to try and get some kind of heavier shot laid down for this ball, because i have a feeling the THS at the house where i do videos will not have enough volume to handle this beast without me playing an extreme angle.  If i can get them to lay down a sport shot i will compare on the same line.  

Its tough to do that on a THS because everything funnels in the same direction...i will be comparing to either the cell solid or rogue.

Good call Britton.  I was going to post this to our Facebook fan page but the photo upload isn't working right now.  So here's a sneek peek:

Ball: Mutant CELL
Layout: 5-3/4” X 75* x 3” (Pin over middle, PSA 1/2” right of grip line, no x-hole)
Surface: Box

Description: After my experiences with the Rogue CELL and all I heard about how much this ball hooks, was a bit afraid to drill it too strong – choosing the layout you can see.  This ball reminds me very much of the original, but with an earlier read and more continuation down lane.  I patterned this after one of my original CELL’s, but this pin distance is 3/4” weaker to account for the updates in cover and core technology.  So far the cover hasn’t lane shined up nearly as much as I thought it might.  The first “real” test happens tonight on Kegel Beaten Path pattern, but nonetheless, I’m very impressed with it so far.

WHOA! I was surfing the boards looking for some info on the rogue cell and original cell and came across this post. Had no idea Roto was preparing to release a new ball in the cell line.

I just started to enter some local tourneys with my rogue and its great but doesn't quite recover in heavy volumes of oil the way I would like if I miss right by a board or two. That is operator error for sure but looking for just a bit more bite.

I'm keeping my eyes peeled on the Mutant.
