I would go with the Theory on that one. I found it to be the strongest ball I had ever thrown. The Infinite is a fair step down from the Theory. Although if you wanted to rough it up that would be an interesting ball at 4000.

I can only attest to the Theory. Very good for med/heavy or heavy as it has a fantastic adjustable cover. I have had it as far down as 1500, and up to 4000. For me it see's most of the playing time at between 2000 and 3000.

I'd go with the Theory in this case if you run into heavier oil.  It really is a step up from the Rising and Odyssey yet really versatile in how you can adjust the surface.  The Infinite is really more of a medium-heavy ball at the most, similar to the Mutant Cell Pearl except a little stronger.

If you want to go stronger than the Theory, there always is the Virtual Gravity Nano.

My arsenal

Medium-Heavy Oil: Storm Anarchy: 1500 polished
Medium Oil: Roto Grip Nomad Dagger: 1500 polished

Medium-Light Oil: Roto Grip Rising Star: 1500 polished
Current Ball Arsenal
Heavy:

MOTIV Mythic Jackal

Med-Heavy:
MOTIV Trident Odyssey
MOTIV Forge Fire
MOTIV Covert Revolt

Medium:

MOTIV Pride Solid

Medium-Light

I knew eventually someone would mention the nano. My problems with the nano are these;I never matched well with the virtual,I have played alot this past season with the rising where other people were throwing the nano and if there was any difference it wasnt enough to warrant me buying one. I shot 290 with my rising on the same pair as this guy using his nano and it was good just how do you justify buying it as a step up from the ball you are using on the same shot. I really felt like the really,"strong balls ",dont match up with me and more and more I am disappointed. I think what happens is I get the ball and never really see appropriate conditions for them, and by the time I do I have lost all confidence in the ball or I have burned it up trying it on lesser conditions so that when I do see oil they just skate. The odyssey is really the only heavy oil ball that was as advertised and I am tired of spending the money just to resurface redrill and sell at a major loss, just trying to make a more thought out and researched decision.

I have tried a couple of Nanos side by side with my Theory including one with a similar layout and I found the Theory stronger by a good 2 boards and it was delivering such a better entry angle. I know a lot of guys are out there talking up the Nano but I personally think the Theory is a far better piece overall and a little stronger.

Locke -

How did you drill your Theory that gives you so much strength?   I drilled mine at 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 x 3 (Pin in gripline above bridge) and I find it to be very controllable but not very strong.

The only beef I have with the Nano and Theory is they burn up the lanes quickly and I have to adjust my targets fairly frequently.

I am also looking at the Infinite Theory to fill a small gap I have between the Nano/Theory and my Victory Road.   Looks good to me from what I have seen so far.
