Title: Thinking about getting a Mars.
Post by: JRC246 on December 20, 2009, 02:56:11 PM
Hi, I'm thinking about getting a mars but would like some opinions first. I was thinking about getting it to fit above my natural which has a weak layout(5x5) and is in box condition. Would this ball be a good fit or should i look elsewhere. Any opinions on layouts or other ball choices would be much appreciated.
My stats:
*ball speed around 16-17
*medium axis tilt
*rev rate 350ish?
*PAP is around 5 1/16 over 1/16 up

Mars would be a good fit above the Natural. I have one and it is very smooth but still picks up in the back on short patterns and hooking backends.

Should be a good one-two punch for broken down and short patterns.

you could also look into the columbia freeze.  I got mine for $90 drilled and is by no means an "enrylevel" ball.
