Cell Drilling Advice
« on: March 29, 2008, 11:39:56 AM »
i'm looking at buying a Cell this week, and was thinking about getting the 5x3 drilling.  i'm a high track bowler and usually find a line up the boards, bowling on a 41 foot pattern, moving in as the heads dry up.  will this drilling pick up too soon in the mid-lane? any feedback from anyone who has used this drilling would be great.

Beano,

I am a high track bowler as well and love this drilling, as it allows me to play a little deeper and get great carry.... The one caution with this ball, do not drill it too strong. I think you will really like this layout.. Good Luck

I just had my 2nd Cell drilled up 5 x 3, pin is about 4-1/2" above midline.  I was able to play inside and get great recovery.  If you drill it like this, I don't think you will be disappointed.

thanks for the feedback guys, you have given me the reassurance to try this drilling on the new ball.  i will probably go with the 3" pin buffer as i like to have the pin above my fingers.
