i just got back from a demo where i was able to try all of the new balls from ROTO GRIP.  i was mainly  going to see what the Critical Theory is like and how it rolls. i did like it, but to my surprise what i found that just kicked butt, at least for me was the Rising Star!!!!!   this ball just flat out rocks.  it has good length and has a very strong , but smooth continuous back end. i was also impressed with the Outlaw. it is also very strong. the Critical is also strong at the back end, but it seems to jump more at the pin deck then the Rising Star, or the Outlaw. now i would like to mention that i am not sure what type of shot was put down, im sure it was a '' ths''  because i would have liked to have thrown the Critical with a higher volume of oil. plus there were a lot of bowlers at this demo, so whatever oil was there was getting used up pretty quick. but i do believe the Critical would work better with more volume. i personally did not like the Bandit, it seemed to not have as much pop at the pins as the others. just so you know my style,  r/h -- not a lot of hand, more speed dominate, approx 16 -18 mph. the shot i was playing most of the time i was there i was standing on 15 and playing out to around 7.  again i cant stress how impressed i am  with the  RISING STAR. so much so i will get one. i may also get a Critical for higher volumes. if you get a chance to go to a demo -- do it - you just might find a ball that matches up with your style, i know i did.
