Need a recommendation for my teammate
« on: September 15, 2005, 01:32:00 AM »
One of my teammates is looking for a new/used ball to try.  He's a down and in, low rev, decent speed bowler who is currently using a Hammer 3-D Offset Maxx (not sure of drilling).  He's looking for something that's smooth and won't be too jumpy.  He uses his ball for strikes and spares and we typically bowl on a longer, medium THS.  I think a ball in the Roto line would be perfect, just not sure which one to recommend.  The UltraSonic with a little surface came to mind first -- if he used a different spare ball or threw straight for his spares, the RS-X might be better.  Opinions??

Not necessarily...He likes the look of my Roto stuff on the lane and I'm most comfortable recommending their stuff since it's my personal favorite...I've also mentioned some Mo options to him as I'm now quite happy with my TA....

I think the Hot Rod Super Sport from Storm would be a good ball for him. Even the Big Time Sanded from Ebonite would work and they are both at a good price point.

RSX is the best league ball there is. I have one with another on the way. Cant beat this ball for the price...

I would concur that the RSX is best THS ball around. Very versatile and hits great.
