Roto Grip's new HP3 release is called the TNT Infused. The ball features the same Torpex core featured in the original TNT but this time is wrapped in the 2 part pearl 1 part solid E-trax hybrid cover. The pearl additive and polished finish make the motion of this ball a suprising polar opposite of its predecessor.

I tested this ball on our very high ratio house pattern. The longer 12:1 design of our house shot is very cliffed and as a result really locks you into balls which can stand up quickly to avoid the downlane OOB. The TNT infused has been great for this purpose as the fast revving core and quick response cover really get it make a quick change of direction.

This ball is a little condition specific as the quick response can make it lock up and get forward a little too quickly for some. The reaction for me has been great for getting the ball to roll off the spot very violently. On a more blended condition I think the TNT Infused will favor bowlers with more ball speed.

The new Roto Grip HP3 ball is the TNT Infused. The original TNT is the ultimate control ball. The TNT has the solid eTrax coverstock and is designed to provide a benchmark reaction. The Infused is built for length and forgiveness (think shiny benchmark reaction) with the addition of the eTrax PLUS hybrid (2-parts pearl, 1-part solid). The Infused provides a completely different reaction type than my similarly drilled TNT. The Infused is cleaner with a nice arcing motion on the backend. Compared to the another shiny HP3 line ball, the Duo, the Infused is easily 5 more in overall hook and continued more on the backend.

This ball has been something special.  Great length with consistent and controllable back end.  This ball has been great on a fresh house shot, given that I have a good amount of revs, and has been even better as the lanes start to break down.  This ball looks great as well, who doesn’t love a good-looking ball that preforms??

From my first roll with the TNT Infused, I could see Roto Grip developed a powerful new weapon to add to any bowler’s arsenal. And the longer I rolled this new Roto Grip howitzer and watched its explosive results, the more the TNT Infused left me smiling from ear to ear!
