Dave, thanks for the info. I'm interested in this ball as well. My buddy Jon has one too and loves it. Did you go Pin down (under bridge area) on this ball?

Thanks!

I used this ball at the Nationals playing up the outside on a 38ft 3 to 1 ratio, I did alright, shooting 615.

I threw it a couple of times at the Bowling This Month tournament where they had a flooded 48ft pattern and didn't have much success, the big one worked better. I think the best condition for the Epic Battle is medium heavy conditions where control is required, it has more length than I anticipated in box conditon. I might try to sand it down a bit if I find a ton of oil, but I like it as it is.

Mine is drilled 5" pin to pap with a 2" pin buffer (distance down from val) which puts the pin above the ring finger. The Mb is placed 4 3/4" from the pap "strong" with a weight hole on the pap leaving it with 1/2 oz of positive.

I believe Dan played 46feet in the last day or two, and shot 279 first game with his, averaged in the 237 region i believe .. he's stoked!

Well - close, I shot 278(stone 9 on fill) the first game.  But it was a 46 foot sport pattern, and I shot 948 for 4 games for a 237 average.  The ball absolutely was pure gold on that pattern.  It made the shot look like an easy house shot.
