This is a total gimmick. Voids inside a bowling ball are illegal per the USBC. The only way this ball can be approved is if the filler material fills the "cavities" in the core and makes them solid, which makes the whole concept pointless.
Filler material = less dense than core material so filling hole with filler will not be the same as actual core material.
What they are saying is they designed the core with the concept of.. IF you drilled a balance hole HERE.. this is how much core material would be removed... if that has any effect or not.. who knows.. at the end of the day its just a core like any other core.
Exactly, it is a core like any other core. They are basically removing material, then refilling it with filler. Essentially doing what every sanctioned bowler will be doing with their stuff by August 2020...filling in their balance holes.
Now you can buy a brand new ball that has already had material taken out of the core and "plugged" with filler material from the factory! Someone could just go buy a ball now, get a huge balance hole drilled in it, and then get it plugged immediately. Same thing.
