I heard a rumor that they were making a weaker version of the original Sonic-X...I wonder if it's this ball?

It will be the biggest backending ball in the Sonic line......pearlized Super Sonic is what it is.....longer and stronger than the Super..(inverted Sonic core w/ a side puck, same as the Super) ....but with a pearlized cover rather than the polished solid as on the Super.  Thus....it'll retain more energy.

So the Sonics go like this in order of weakest to strongest! (in backend that is)...,....original, Boom, Super, Ultra...... with the Super (if you sand it)....being the strongest for handling the most oil...but that's a given

hmmm....I'm interested how this is gonna effect the rest of Roto's line up...Seems like a step up from the Super Sonic would be the Silver Streak.  But I can't see Roto discontinuing their "old faithful".  Having said that I wonder how well this ball will sell, because as quiet as its kept my Sonic X solid ain't no dry lane ball.  I would like to see Roto come out with a Pearl urthene coverstock with the Silver streak core in it.  I think that it would do well in the later sets when the heads start to dry out because everyone and their mother wants to throw the most agressive piece on the market.  Just my opinion.

But when will roto come out with a particle pearl? I am hoping the next high performance line balls is. I also hope the name revelation will be it, just to with the theme so far (Apocalypse, Oracle, you get the idea).

Maelstrom:

I heard from Hank directly this weekend that a pearl particle version of the Oracle is in the development stages.  Let me be clear he gave me no timeline on the release of that piece, but I think we can all agree since the Pure Fuel was discontinued (sigh) that it's a hole in the current line-up.

Maelstrom,
That is sooo funny that you mention that, I told one of boys that just tonight after seeing my Apocalypse Tear the hole up.  I would even like to see The Rapture.

I assume you mean to replace the Pure Fuel which was a particle pearl.
