UPDATE - Help me decide - Son!q or Hyper Cell Fused
« on: April 25, 2018, 01:13:45 PM »
Ok. I know I want the HCF, and that's biasing my disposable income expenditure. Help me out.

In my head I'm betting the Son!q makes more sense. I do better with symmetrical, but everything I have in the bag except a pin up Vandal and my previously discussed triple drill 14 lb Raptor that I can't duplicate is symmetrical. I'm a 1 trick pony. The ball I NEED next is a pin down Sure Lock for Nats, but I'm leaving it out of this conversation so that I'll still be able to get it later   :)

I'm a low rev lefty, speed around 13.8 on the estimate, typical A game is down and in, and I'm trying to cure the 7 pin blues. I have nothing that shapes late or even comes close to skid-snap, although my new Idol is helping. I'm worried about being able to start up the HCF given my previous bad luck with anything > 2.50 Rg loping down the lane, and problems with polished equipment, but that back end shape, if I can start it up before skidding thru the break, will fill a hole in my bag.

Constructive feedback as always is appreciated.

Based on the information you provided about yourself I'm not sure if the Soniq or HCF would be a great fit. Both balls in my opinion are very angular and if you only play down and in I'm afraid your entry angle is going to be too strong and still leave you plenty of 7 pins. If you're searching for a low RG symmetrical pearl that'll provide natural length on medium conditions l think you would be much better off with something like the Marvel Pearl. Dare Devil Danger is another option to consider but is a hybrid.

I had to have the HCF, so I did. Only thrown it very little, but it's exactly what I thought it would be. A little longer, and sharper than my Idol, which is rapidly replacing my beloved Phaze II.We'll see how it goes, but so far... yup.

For a low rev games, I have always believed that FLIP = flip, which is fairly well borne out, at least in early results. Almost everything I have is early and smooth, and now the Idol changed that, and the HCF looks to take it up another notch....
