Maybe you got the impression from my video that I don't like the Danger, and I really don't/didn't. I didn't like the Hywire and don't like the Danger, I don't like stuff that clean or sharp, it always makes me feel like I have to help it or I always worry it's just going to wiggle and shoot through the spot. I almost didn't take it to Tulsa this weekend because I didn't want to even give myself the opportunity to get it out of the bag.
One thing it's good at though is finishing on the backend. I got to a point the first set where the lanes burnt really quickly, which was giving me angle issues, and realized it was really the only thing I took that "gets after it" on the backend, because I don't like that shape and really have no use for it, so I gave it a shot. Turns out when you've gotta get deep and fade it through the middle, it's a complete beast. The low RG gets it to roll, but the medium-ish diff keeps it from hooking early, and with the cover being so clean, it glides down the lane and is really punchy on the back. I could get it in a little bit and it would hold line, but if I put too far out, it would catch on the friction and storm back.
This became the routine for every set. Start with All Out, switch to Danger. To be fair, I still don't like the way it shapes, takes every bit of trust I have in me to let go of it, but also to be fair, it gets the job done, and it gets it done well. Also to figjam, I shot 300 with it the second game of doubles just fading it from between 4th and 5th arrow out to about 12/13 at about 2/3 my normal rev rate saying I hated the ball the whole time. Every shot was dead flush, and that might be the best 10th frame I've ever thrown. It was so clean and sharp that all I had to do was make sure I got out of it. Now I promptly followed that up with a 180 because then because it IS a drama queen and completely bipolar, but realistically everyone's look disappeared the last game of doubles across the house, so I can't honestly blame the ball. Too much.
I have the opinion video mostly done, but because I'm going to razz it a bit, I'm likely going to make a second opinion video to be perfectly fair, and also to kind of pay tribute to its bipolar nature. I'd never ever throw it on a fresh shot, it's insanely over/under, but man if you destroy the track and jump an arrow left, I literally had a look no one else had. I still feel exactly the same but completely different about it. I don't know. I just rambled for 4 paragraphs and still have no idea what I really think about it. It was a big part of paying for the trip though, I'm cashing pretty solidly in almost everything.
