Has anyone tried both? I am looking to replace my Passion with the Battle for heavy oil conditions.

The passion will hook less in heavy oil then an battle. The battle is not a big hooking ball but does very well in the heavy oil. Voted 2 years in a row as the best oil ball. I keep by battle just for oil and about 400.

I keep by passion around 1000 and use it to start with. Works great on the carry down oil. Storm always clears the heads better and have a little more back end.

I love my passion, really likes some oil but I've found those particle coverstocks on heavy oil balls to really shine.  TO be honest, I'd take a real good look at the quest.  It's 1000 out of box, take that puppy down to 500 and you've got your heavy oil ball using the original epic cover with a 2%load particle coverstock.

I'm replacing my passion with the quest at 500.
