I have both the Nomad and the Cell pearl and they definitely react different, even with the different lay outs. The cell pearl is drilled with the pin above the bridge and the nomad is drilled with the pin below the bridge. I think the Nomad is cleaner through the heads but that's not biggest difference. The nomad is much more readable off the breakpoint. Once the lanes dry up, the last thing you want is a ball that reacts to dry too fast. When my cell pearl checks up too early, the nomad compliments it well. I just bump a little left (because of the earlier rolling lay out) and it reads the friction off the break point very well.
I would suggest getting a nomad with the pin up, maybe even the pin a little to the right, to make the ball "less snappy"
