well here goes nothing again

my big one was stolen along with most all my other stuff so i decided to give the battle a try. I wont have it for a few weeks, but i would really like some input on drilling it and the epic.
     I originally had selected the epic and the mercury,but as luck or whatever would have it the ball league lost my order form for the mercury so i took that as an opportunity to upgrade. So here i go again trying to find that go to ball. Right now its a columbia white dot that's almost 20 years old.

oh yeah i forgot to mention pertinent info. I am a stroker i guess 15 to 16 mph ,low revs high track player. I am learning that straighter is better these days . Staying behind the ball and letting it roll seems to be the ticket. My comfort zone now is standing 20 and playing out to 10 from 17 at the dots. I used to play much deeper ,but since i have changed my hand position and release swinging is not in my game anymore and i dont miss it .

As a high track person myself, I would probably set the pin around 4 1/2 from your axis with the cg swung out just far enough to allow a small weight hole.  With you having a low rev rate, we need to get the ball to flare a little to help with ball reaction.

I agree with TWOHAND834 about the drill.  Do you know the pin to cg distance on the Battle you ordered.  Probably a distance of 1.5-2 inches would be best.

 I have the Epic and the Epic-Battle and let me tell you the Epic-Battle hits like no other...the Epic and the Epic-Battle is a very strong one-two punch!

 However, I throw my Epic-Battle with a nice slow big hook and I throw my Epic somewhat faster as by then the lanes are breaking down some.

I have my Epic-Battle drilled aggressive as I got it just for the purpose of heavy oil on the lanes and I have my Epic drilled similarly, however, the Epic isn't in the same boat as far as what my Epic-Battle can do.

And don't get that confused with me kinda saying that the Epic isn't a good ball
'cause it really is. If you have a lot of oil in your league play then just tell your driller to drill the Epic-Battle aggressive as it does come with drilling instructions.

Btw, I love the Epic and Epic-Battle as a great one two punch
