Another Roto Newbie

I don't know why, but I've tried most other ball companies except for Roto-Grip.  Most things I've heard about them are very positive so I'm very intrigued and ready to give them a try.  Which ball does everyone think I should try first?

I usually bowl on synthetic lanes with a THS.  I am a stroker with a ball speed of 13-14mph, revs are right around average to maybe a little below, and axis is around 45.

I'm not really current on the most recent generation of Roto stuff, but I started with a Silver Streak Solid.  If you can get one of those I think you'd be quite happy.  Jeffrevs or others are more up on the current Roto line-up and I'm sure will have good suggestions.

what else can you tell us about the lanes except THS ?? Fresh shot? first league on them.....heavier...medium......let us know!

It is a fresh shot...it is layed out right before we start to bowl.  The oil tends to be at medium to sometimes medium/dry.

Well, depending on what "medium" is, you could try a silver streak pearl drilled for length and backend.

Hey Bruce,
  I would reccommend 2 balls.  First being the Silver Streak solid.  It is a very smooth arcing ball that will give you great reads on med oiled lanes with some nice backends, with the out of box finish(polished).  But what makes the Silver streak so great is its versatility is that the silver streak sands nicely and can easily be used a med oil piece.  

   The other reccomendation would be the retro ressurection.  It has the same versatilty coverstock wise as the silver streak, but it has a stronger reaction.  But I have seen this ball work dulled or shined.  They are both GREAT pieces. Welcome to Roto Grip, I have learned to love them!!!!!!
