Hywire surface adjustment?

Has anyone changed the surface on the hywire? If so what did you change it to and what change did it make? My hywire is oob surface and it's just too strong for my league. My stats are 450 rpm and about 16-16.5 at the pins

No I won't put a hole in the lane, Mr. Proprietor!

I have changed mine from OOB, sometimes too long and late off the spot, adjusted on spinner to 3000, and it really blended the motion and started about 1 foot earlier. I have practically identical stats.

My issue is I can't stand far enough left to throw it. It just rolls up and jumps to Brooklyn or through the nose. I was thinking 4k to take the shine off and blend it out more. It's just really jumpy. If I can smooth it I might be able to make it work
