Roto Grip really took the HP1 line up a notch with the Hustle balls. I drilled the hustle P/R/O pretty smooth, looking to accentuate the characteristics of the ball in relation to its co-release. I found a great niche for this release filling a spot i hadn't had in my bag.
The ball out of box looked pretty clean to me. I later found out that it was because my first experience throwing it was on a house shot that is very tight up the outside of the lane. My next time out with it I took the finish down to 1000 hoping I could push the ball up the lane and use it to break the right side of the lane down opening it up to better scoring with a more agressive ball later in the block. The ball responded beautifully at the new finish giving me exactly the look I had hoped for. Where my agressive equipment would push me too far left right off the bat making it difficult to score later in the night, I now had a ball that would read early make a smooth reaction but still let me stay in the oil to the right and develop a better shot for later.
I didn't really gain an appreciation for the versatility and strength of the ball until I took it back to the box finish and threw it in a house with a more blended lower volume house shot. This ball makes the move where you need, controls the back-end and just overall hooks more than you would expect a ball in its price point to hook. At the box finish it stays in play longer letting you move left and still carry.
The overall theme of this ball is VALUE. There's no better ball on the market for the price.
