For truly heavy oil, the Major Assault gets to see daylight.  However, that doesn't happen very often, so it is usually the Assault that gets the most use if there is anything of significance up front.

I think I'll need the Exxon Valdez before this guy sees daylight again.

that was sort of my point...most people never see truly heavy snot...helps explain why I only have maybe six games total on the Major

The plain old solid purple Assault gets the job done when there is what most people think of as heavy...but even that can be too much sometimes, and that one might have a dozen games on it.  Pearl Assault gets the most use out of the Assault lineup for me (never did get a Global though).

Fuel for heavier stuff.......but I've given that up because I haven't seen heavier stuff in a while and I'm waiting for something new!

Silver Particle is another great choice!

Been using my Apoc. for heavier oil. That ball turns a ton. We have Heavy oil on wedn. night due to a second shift after us. The only time I can use my Apoc.

Hopefully RotoGrip can come up with a heavy oil ball that can compete with the Super Carbide Bomb on flooded conditions..

That made me think of something buddy, thanks......Yes I agree, but wouldn't it also be great to have that ball versatile enough too to be used on , say, fresh medium-heavies, or mediums where it's a touch longer....

I'd just hate to see a good ball sit just because you don't see "that" much oil, which is what I've heard about the SCB......

Just a thought.......

Either of three balls for me depending on the ditch and backends... V2 Strong, V2 Particle, and V2 Solid.....For flatter either three....for a heavy block the particle

The Major Assault is an overseas ball and hard to come by. Also the Assault line is discontinued.

There are plenty of occasions where older equipment gets the job done more than looking exclusively at current offerings.  Granted, some may be more difficult to come by (such as when I was tracking down the older urethane Grenades), but that does not mean they should be excluded from the discussion.
