Personally, I feel it's still too early for another new ball to come out...

So if Roto was planning on releasing a High end ball (presumably a ball in the Epic line) and an Entry level ball (presumably a ball in the Planet line) before the start of the season (in August) that is too early? Considering that the Epic Battle and Saturn were released towards the end of January, and the next two supposed balls will probably be announced at Bowl Expo (most manufacturers announce their upcoming releases there) and probably not even available till the end of July or first part of August, how can a 5 to 6 month lapse of time between releases within the same line of balls be too soon? Against industry average, this is far below the norm. This is also one of the reasons why I feel that Roto-Grip is one of the best manufactures on the market today. They simply do not flood the market with several releases. Every ball that they have come out with has its very own unique and desirable reaction that compliments the other Roto balls very well.

Roto Grip has been pretty active on ball releases of late; Saturn, Epic Battle, and Horizon.

The R-Series seem to be on their way out.  Horizon seems to be the new mid priced theme.  Expect more later on this year.

The Saturn is a huge success. Rumor says "more planets to come".  Sonics out??

Oracle's out.  Epic's in.

Quite a re-vamp for Roto Gip.  Totally surprised with all their releases so far.
Getting fairly aggressive with their release cycle.

Both of those are overseas Kayoung. Roger discussed the journey and the Dream is listed in the overseas section of the site.

Please give us a Low rg smooth solid or a low rg solid with high diffy.

it could be a bigger backend V2 sanded which is now gone. a niche ball for some and a good general all purpose sphere for the rest of us.

Grandpa,

The USBC passed a rule lowering the differential from .080 to .060 as of Feb. 1 of this year, but grandfathered previous balls in (SD-73, MTX are safe for now).

As far as the weight hole rule/CG placement for 2007, that rule was voted down.

I noticed that Roto-Grip on Myspace has a profile song now. Wonder if that has anything to do with anything?

I just want to clarify on our release schedule.  Since I started working for Roto Grip our release schedule has always been the same.  For the past 4 years we have always came out with the following:

Jan / Feb:  High End - Entry
March / April:  Mid
July:  High End - Entry
Sep / Oct:  Mid
Nov/Dec:  Specialty release

No more than 6-7 performance releases each year.  We stay consistent with that and plan to stay that way for a long time.

Let me know if you have any other questions.  We are actually going to try and have the new releases live on our website by June 1st, 2006.  The balls won't be released until the end of July.

Have a great Memorial Day Weekend!

There is a planet line release, as well as a new Epic.  From my source, speedyosh is very close, but not exact.
