Title: Where whould I find a Killer Cell?
Post by: titletowncards on October 25, 2009, 12:25:48 PM
I'm looking at some the international releases on the Roto-Grip website and there are a couple of ball that would fit my game pretty well.
Does anyone know how to get a hold of some of these?
Thanks.

The Killer cell is just a polished Rogue Cell

Bowlingballdiscount.com normally has some international releases, however, there are some websites in the UK that sell all the rotogrip international releases. They are really expensive after the conversion and shipping cost. For example, I wanted an Alliance and it would have cost me $213 for the ball alone, with no shipping cost added.

My opinion is, if you have deep pockets or the ball just really matches your game then have at it. But, most international releases are just cover adjusted models of the US releases. For example, the alliance I wanted was the precursor to the Cell Pearl. Same type of reaction, Very subtle differences. Just something to think about.

Perhaps not...Per http://www.rotogrip.com/products/balls/ball.asp?ballid=97
"Through extensive testing of various coverstock formulations, we came up with this version of Cytoplasmic XLâ„¢ hybrid."

When they say "this version" I wonder if they are referring to the fact that it is just 1500 polished or if the Cytoplasmic XL cover is a different formulation than what is found on the Rogue Cell...

It looks as though this hybrid has more pearl and less solid.

That's what it looks like to me, more pearl than the Rogue Cell.  I love my Hy-Road so much, I want it's pretty, younger sister too. :-)
