Dare Devil Danger
« on: December 14, 2017, 08:26:07 AM »
My PAP is 5 ¼ X 3/4”. I drilled my Dare Devil Danger with a Standard Layout. What I was trying to accomplish was losing some of hook and control the ball better. My Rev Rate is so high that when lanes breakdown I have a tendency to lose the pocket for a few frames. So my thinking was drilling the Dare Devil Danger with a standard layout hoping for some length with a smooth backend with better control and not snappy.

What I got was a ball that reads the middle part of the lane well, transitions smoothly and reads very well on the backend. I was standing 22 throwing out to about 7. The ball tracked out well and when it reached the backend it was not a snapping hook but better, controlled hook with great hitting power. I could not be happier with the layout and I have finally found the ball that is good for the transition. I bowled games of 220, 232 and 225 out of the box. Great ball for the price range.

1. Grammar does not make a man, but professionalism is important.  It seems like he puts all of 3 1/2 minutes into writing his reviews, it's all a jumble, all over the place, gives zero pertinent or important information, and then he never checks back to answer questions or clarify anything.

2.  If he was honest, he would review the stuff he doesn't like too, that way it wouldn't seem like he's just getting on here to sing the praises of absolutely everything.  Seems like he's just trying to talk everything up like a typical staffer.

3.  Perhaps the biggest issue here is that you say you've bought 10+ of his used balls . . we aren't allowed to sell them after we're done with them, that's a big no-no.

Ok I’m going to go to bat for Dave as the person who has bought 10+ of his used equipment I’ll tell you that standard drilling for him is normally with ball drilled label pin directly over the CG or his favorite layout that’s the 4x4x2 with a hole roughly 1-2 inches right of the thumb (believe it’s called P4?) he’s a high speed really high rev bowler and as for his IQ grammar does not define a man normally he’s not big on polished hybrids I remember the hywire was not one of his favorites I say that to let y’all keyboard warriors know he’s a honest man if he says he likes a ball he means it the ones he does not like he typically won’t do a review on

Luke, this is why everyone on the board and your youTube channel appreciate your reviews, opinions, and videos so much as they are honest and well done.

And balls that you review but don't use in your arsenal what are you allowed to do with them? Just curious as I have bought used balls with low games from a buddy who is not a staffer but bowls a lot of tournaments and have had great use out of them. Are you allowed to give away?

They ask us to donate them to local youth/high school programs, so that's what I do with most of them, I also have a stepson that gets a lot of them.  Some I keep stashed for tournaments.
