Sliver Streak - reactive black

Would this be a good choice for freshly oiled lanes?  Any comments?  Any particular thing you specially liked or didn't like with this ball.

The best response will probably come from JeffRevs, Charlest, Roger himself, or a few others. However, having the SSP and using it as my "benchmark ball" I am also looking to pick up a Silver Streak. I have throw a friends, and it appears to be a great ball for a "fresh shot". Reads the midlane extremely well, and not overly jumpy on the drier backends.

This ball, like the rest of the line is STRONG !  I'd choose your favorite pin position, and kick the cg out a little bit towards your pap.  Sure, it's a ball for fresh,....fresh mediums, and if you have backends, some medium heavies. See my review.........

I had this ball label 4x5, and it was almost too strong for my liking.  Has typical Roto hit!  It took me a few weeks to get accustomed to it's strenght, but once you get dialed in.........forget it!

If I were to get another, I'd go with a 4x3 or 4x2 type drill

I have two silver streaks.  One drilled label and polished and the other a 10:30 dull.  They work well on a variety of conditions and on a fresh shot you should do well.  

As to drilling preferences I can't recomend any specific drilling because I am not sure of what type of look you are after.

I have to put this ball up when the heads start drying out because it just burns too fast.  Moving in deeper sometimes I can't get this to recover.

That depends more on your delivery (Speed & revs & etc), the ball's surface, and the oil pattern. The SS's cover comes highly polished; many people have dulled it down a little to a lot or have dulled it to 600 and lightly re-polished. Like most solid resins, the cover is very easily changed and that is more important than the drilling you choose. Try your favorite drilling, then modify the cover to work on the condition; it seems to work on a wide range of mediums.
