How's your Apolypse drilled?
« on: August 06, 2004, 10:57:35 AM »
Hi all,
I finally got my hands on an Apocalypse!!!! And the great thing is it only ran about $65 NIB.  This dummy at a pro shop thought that a Classic Zone was a plastic ball.  I tried to correct him but he stood me down.  So I bought it and another pro shop I went to allowed me to trade it for any ball that came out before 6/1/2004.  So I got my Apocalypse!!!!

Now how to drill it is the question, I am thinking that I want to go with the pin under my bridge and the MB 1/4 to the right of my thumb.  I am looking for good legnth but with a strong bold arc to the pocket, what are your views on this setup, and what have you tried?

Thanks,
BMM

bmm,
sounds good to me....the closer to box finish....the more snappy it's going to be ....

I have mine at 1000 smooth, with a 4 1/2 x 3 3/4 small weight hole in the thumb quadrant......

Jeff,
I think that I will lay it out like that, I threw one guys ball and it was punched up like that and all I could say was WOW!!!!  I think that I am going to love this ball.  Slowly but surely, I am getting lured into Roto Grip.  You can't beat the performance or the pricing.

Anymore comments are welcome.

Thanks,
BMM

BMM,
what's nice is that you can really adjust this cover to make it do anything. You can scuff this to 600 and thrown on fresh medium heavies all day long, and then change it to 1500 polished and go deep inside for medium - medium lights!

Jeez, Am I the only one who didn't like this ball?  I couldn't get it to do anything from medium-heavy to lights.  Got tons of more movement and control with my Retro Roto Blue.

different balls match up differently for others it's ok
