Light oil ball
« on: December 23, 2015, 08:37:56 AM »
Was looking for a med. To light oil ball to fit in below my hyper cell skid.  Roto grip or storm.  Was thinking about a hetic or uproar. What are everyones thoughts?  Have a hy road but that ball seems better suited for med. Or even med. To heavy conditions.

I plan on drilling an Outcry here in the next few weeks for those med-light conditions.  I think it should slot in well under my IQ Nano and allow me to play the lanes in a similar fashion. Hoping for slightly longer than Nano, more control than my Optimus Pearl.

I have a Ride with the pin drilled out through the ring finger(right-handed). It is a great light oil ball that never over reacts. It's great for burnt lanes. I move right and play down and in. Rocket to the pocket! LOL

As mentioned, the Ride is a potential candidate, but you better have a lot of hand for it to be a drop down ball from the Hyper Cell Skid, which is 2+ notches above a Ride. It will handle light to medium oil, depending on the drill and the bowler's hand/ball speed. A rev dominant player can use a Ride for Medium oil, while a speed dominant player, needs to use it for light oil.

If you sanded the Ride to 3000 or 4000 grit AND drillled strong, it could be a drop down ball from the Skid. Otherwise, with its stock polish, I'd suspect it would not be.

I think a better ball for a drop down, will be a ball closer between the Skid and the Ride. Maybe an RG Loco Solid.
