Wrecker Feedback
« on: March 08, 2013, 08:58:33 AM »
Any feedback about the Wrecker?  I like the color scheme and reaction (from videos).  Found a NIB one for a decent price..

Thanks,
Scott

I have a Wrecker drilled pin below ring Cg off to the right. Very strong ball for me. Ball rolls phenomenal, stronger then I expected though. Would like to try another wrecker with a pin up drilling.

Stuggling with mine.  Pin above ring finger, drilled strong.  I am 14.5 at the pins with about 325-350 revs tweener.  Ball just starts up too early for me.  Sanded it to 4000 + polish + extender, just to get it down the lane.  Mens league night it is only good for about 5 frames, then I can't get it through the heads.  Had the weight hole moved from P3 to P2.  It is longer, but I really need to keep the speed up.  I like to throw between 8-13, but I can't throw Wrecker outside of 15.  Did manage to get a good line in a no-tap and threw 31 of 36 natural strikes.  Ball carries well, but it is almost too strong for me.  5-6 boards stronger than my Defiant Edge and at least as strong as my Lucid.  I may have to plug and redrill it to go much longer.  Great ball if you have the speed.
14lb 15.5 mph at pins 325 Revs. Silver Coach, Ball Driller. In Bag:  Storm Pro-Motion, Hyroad X, Matchup, Code Red.

i had the same issue with he Rising Star, the ball just wanted to roll early on everything but fresh heavy volumes and then it was too weak with me being a higher tilt player. I loved the Darkstar as much as any ball I have ever owned...

The Wrecker is a ton of ball.  For my style, that and the Distrubed are the best in their current lineup.

Drilled one up last night.. going to give it a shot tonight.  Due to the shorter pin (Went with pin in my ring finger, cc in center of grip, roughly 75 X 5 X 50 ...  Ill report back results tomorrow...

Wow... Is that a lot of ball!  I'm going to need to make a few surface changes to keep this ball in play.  Average length, lots on the backend.  Playing about 8 boards deeper on the lane than anything else in my bag.  Surprisingly, had good carry from those angles... Really only got into trouble when the ball jumped early.  Certainly it handles more oil than light/medium...

Like I said, it's MUCH more ball than advertised.  The way symetrics are being made, I'm finding myself with less and less reason to throw anything asymetric nowadays.
