of the Blackout are WOW!
First, I would again like to thank Ryan for selecting my limerick in his ball give-away contest. I had selected the Solaris Blackout, and I'm glad I did. My proshop was drilling it as i started my league practice last night. I bowl first shift and was rolling my Anaconda (during practice), when he came out with the Blackout. I only threw 2 balls with it, and put it down because practice was coming to an end, and there was not enough time to get a feel for the ball.
I started the first game with the Anaconda, playing outside like I usually do finished 223. Then second game started out good through the sixth frame, then the Anaconda started checking up a bit early. I pulled out the Blackout in the 8th frame and went XXXX9 for 213.
Started and stayed wih the Blackout in the 3rd game, playing the same outside line and just crushed the pocket, never a ten pin to stand.
I finished the 3rd game 258. Now that's not quite 2 full games bowled with the Blackout, but I can tell already, this is one unique piece.
It glides effortlessly down the lane, very smooth...very predictable and just keeps coming, no big move off the end of the pattern, just a continual move. The Blackout looks amazing going down the lane, this is one of the few balls that you know exactly what it is going to do, really quite impressive. Talk about a control ball... Now again, I have less than 2 games on it, but I know this has a spot in my bag. Not sure if I can start the night with it, that remains to be seen.
I will update as I use it more in the next few weeks, and try to get exact specs on my layout to post a review.
