Tracer vs. Hy-Road
« on: June 10, 2015, 05:36:39 PM »
I realize it's brand new, but how does the Tracer compare to the Hy-Road? I am looking for a ball that will give me a little more pop when the Hy-Road just isn't enough. I don't think I need a big step up, just sometimes the Hy-Road hits flat. I think it depends on the side of the house I am on, but it could also be small changes in the weather that seem to make the lanes play a little tighter some nights. Would the Tracer fit what I am looking for, or is it too strong for that? Thanks for the time and the help.

If it hits flat, then it seems like it's too rough, too early for the mount of oil on which you're bowling. Is that the case?

Or is it skating on too much oil and not making it back to the pocket?

I think the Tracer is a top of the line, asymmetric cored oiler. It may be just too much of a step up from the polished hybrid Hy-Road.

I haven't seen the tracer yet but the euphoric might be a good choice. My wife and a few friends have that one and it clears the heads better than you would think with a pretty angular backend. If your looking for a similar strength just a little earlier it would be a good choice.

The one Tracer I have punched up right now, comes off the spot harder than I expected it to. Probably hooks more than a Hy-Road also but it is still a controllable piece something at the very bottom of the highend or high part of the middle. I will be posting a video later today check it out!
