Title: Desperado mini review
Post by: the pooh on December 28, 2009, 04:49:11 PM
Drilled my Christmas present 73* x 4 1/2 x 40*. Or 4 1/2 x 5 3/8 with a 2 1/2" pin buffer if you prefer. This ball is money! If you are rev dominant or speed challenged or bowl on short or burnt out conditions, this is THE ball! It would be a great option for seniors with lower ball speeds. I have used the ball on three day old ths and it is amazing how well it gets through the heads. On a fresh house shot with dry to the outside, it works well and carries well also. Great, controllable midlane read, and smooth but strong arc backend. The carry is more than I had hoped for from a urethane ball. It is a step up in power from another one of my favorites, the Natural. Probably due to the stronger asymmetrical core. For the bowler that realizes that the most hook is not necessarily the best thing, this ball is a must have! If you have some hand, this ball hooks more than enough on many conditions! I have not altered the surface yet, because it is working so good as is. I am sure you could get more length and some more backend with 4000 ab and /or some polish.

Always nice to get the thumbs up from a guy with 42 300 games under his belt.

And Thanks to DaveW for helping with the layout. I had to alter it slightly, but it's pretty close to what we discussed. Thanks again!
