I have a lot of tilt and slower speed, so that explains why this drill works so well for me.
I had a label-drilled Brunswick BVP Wizard that was an average THS ball for me until my driller put the 9 o'clock on it. Then the ball sprang to life and carried everything. It's on the shelf because I've moved up in weight. I also tried this drill on a Sapphire Zone to the same effect.
Let us know how you like the Solaris Blackout. As I suspected, it is very similar to the Lane #1 THS. Buttery smooth through the mids and at the break point, but it drives harder through the pins. Having a similar cover, surface, and differential explains some of that, along with the slightly lower RG. Both great control pieces.
