Smoother....Euphoria of Aftermath Pearl?
« on: March 24, 2013, 11:25:52 AM »
So I am really wanting to try Seismic and I am looking for a smoother, non hockey stick pearl and I am trying to figure out which one is naturally better at this.  I am thinking the AMP because its on the lower RG side of things (which I seem to match up better with in my experience) whereas the Euphoria is on the Med-High RG side of the scale.

Any input is really appreciated.

I had a Euphoria and, while it is a really good piece, it did tend to come off the spot pretty hard for me.

Having thrown the Euphoria, and having seen several AMP's, I would tend to believe the AMP would be the smoother of the two.

Now, while it probably is the smoother of the two, it may still be stronger as far as the oil volume it can handle. I can't really speak to that end of things, but it would be my suspicion that it is.

From watching my friend's AMP and Euphoria, I'd have to agree with Juggernaut. AMP is smoother and handles more oil. He loves the AMP; hasn't yet found a spot in his arsenal for the Euphoria.

Thanks for the replies.  I was kinda figuring that AMP would be the smoother of the two,  just wanted some second opinions to make sure I was not imagining things.

I think I will probably go with the AMP then.

AMP is a great choice it is probably the best most Consistent Pearl i have had in my bag. It is smoother than the Euphoria and a stronger overall.

cant go wrong with either one.  Both can fill your needs with the right layout.

For a smoother overall look on the lanes between the two, definitely the Aftermath Pearl.  I mean that ball rolls for me like butter (shot 802 with it after only having it for 4 months and not really using it that much).  I've taken it to 500 abr no polish and it reads early and is smooth as silk on the lanes.  When I shot my 802, i think I had it at 500 + clean and sheen (older Track product)....very very smooth downlane and all sorts of power at the pins.....
I just finally got my Euphoria (purchased from Juggernaut) to a surface that I love after consulting with Ryan Press of Seismic.  I have it now at 1000, 2000, 4000 abr + Factory Finish. Because of the early reading layout on the Euphoria I have (pin under bridge), I was not getting much length and it really didn't have much on the backend either because of the weaker cover.  I took the ball up in surface and gave it a very nice polish and not only do I get much more length, but I get a more dynamic move towards the pocket that isn't so much uncontrollable, but I know she is coming though.  Very satisfied now with the look I get on the lanes with the Euphoria and definitely has a spot in my arsenal.
