Pooh you are correct. This is THE BALL if you do bowl on burnt/torched/over-under conditions. I have had to move right which is really what I wanted this ball for, to play straighter with and eliminate the over/under condtions I usually see at the houses I bowl at.
Hooking the ball on a THS is definately something most league bowlers try to do,but not necessary, and I have recently realized this in the past 2-3 years when I did swing the ball all the time. I have since moved significantly right and do swing the ball when need be but I now realize that with the line I usually play my scores got higher and carried better and also got a more consistant reaction.
I have a feeling I will really begin to love this ball and being urethane I know it will last forever. I may try some cover changes after I get some games on it but I have bowled good in both league sets I used it in so I will push changing the surface for a little while.
The basic reaction I get out of this ball is a fairly early read and then gentle roll to the pocket with power at the pins that I wouldnt have though a urethane ball would be able to accomplish.
This ball is a definate must have if you do bowl on shorter, dry or over-under condtions.
